BP OIL SPILL , How Will It Effect Our Manatees
No one knows if the manatees will survive in the oil polluted waters of the gulf. The manatees are out there right now, no one has mentioned them on the news . But all the manatee lovers are praying for them. This time of the year the manatees migrate from the central Florida warm water springs and rivers, north along the gulf coast as far west as Texas, usually hugging coast where there are native grassesare to feed on . They will be right in the path of the worst oil spill ever, and they have no idea. No way to stop them , no way to protect them. Look at all the birds and dolphins washing ashore dead. The manatees are on the endangered species list, how will this effect that. Will the only manatees be the ones in captivity? The gulf coast is called the Nature Coast and we are all losing our most valued treasures. Julie Wolf
